Game Description: The Last of the Exalted

Set in a post-apocalyptic world where towering mechanical Titans dominate the landscape, The Last of the Exalted puts players in the role of Axion, a battle-worn robot infused with human consciousness. Built in Unreal Engine 5 for a game jam with the theme "Evolving Abilities," the third-person shooter challenges players to master Axion's evolving arsenal: precise rifle shooting, swift sword attacks, and a devastating special attack—the ability to throw his sword with deadly precision. Utilizing behavior trees for both player and enemy abilities, each battle against the Titans brings new upgrades and evolving strategies, turning the tide of combat as Axion faces seemingly insurmountable odds.

The Last of the Exalted is a third-person shooter built in Unreal Engine 5, where players control a robot equipped with evolving abilities. The game features dynamic combat with three main player abilities: Rifle Shooting for ranged attacks, Sword Attacks for close combat, and a Special Attack where the player can throw the sword for high-damage precision strikes.

The game uses a behavior tree system to manage both player and enemy AI, allowing for adaptive and strategic gameplay. As the player progresses, their abilities evolve, introducing new mechanics and enhancing combat versatility, while enemies also adapt, creating increasingly challenging encounters.
